The spring tool, BamBam, makes the task of inserting large grommets very easy. This tool eliminates having to use small brads or the small grommet to make connections into tape wire. One end has a center punch and the other end has a pin that a large grommet can slip over. Place the grommet where it needs to be inserted, pull back on the spring, and let it slam down inserting the grommet into the tape wire and backing. Even works with high density board (mdf) and you do not need a pilot hole. Large grommets are sold separately.

Bam Bam comes in two sizes, able to use both large and small grommets for wiring. Don’t know what I would do with out it!
What am amazing tool!!!!!!!! I have been a miniaturist for almost 30 years and have lit many a home…wish this tool had been around back in the old days!

I was so skeptical about something called “Bambam”…but I was soooooo wrong!! This thing alleviates the frustrations of wiring.
Super easy, super tight connection and it does live up to its name! It’s got quite a “bam”! The first time I used it, my husband yelled down the stairs, “are you alright?”…????
It makes connections into the hardest of woods too…

I recently purchased the Bam Bam tool. I had another tool (a snap punch) that I bought years ago that only took one hand to install the grommets. Unfortunately, I misplaced it so I bought yours. I’ve been unable to find another snap punch. Although yours works ok I’m disappointed that It takes BOTH hands to use it. This makes it very difficult to use in small spaces (and I have extra small hands). The other tool I had was spring loaded and you only had to push it down with one hand 2 or 3 times to install the grommets. The spring was on the inside of the tool and it unscrewed to replace it or the little pin that the grommet fits on.
